Crib sleeping January 28, 2010
This past weekend when Casey was off we made the decision to move the twins to their cribs. I wanted to do this when Casey had several days off in case it was a huge adjustment for them. It turns out they could care less where they sleep and it was more emotional for me. I cried. Crazy, I know. Just pains me to think they are getting so big that it was already time for them to move to their nursery. We could have kept them in our room longer but they were starting to wake each other up with their wiggles sleeping next to each other in the pack-n-play. So, we decided to also go ahead and separate them into their own cribs. Broke my heart to think they have slept by each other since in the womb and now they are in separate cribs. But like I said, they have done great. The transition has been easy for them. (just not mommy.) They now get a bottle at 8 pm and are in bed at 8:30pm. They do not wake up until 5 am for their next bottle. And after that bottle they immediately go back down until 8:30am-9:00am. I can’t complain! This is awesome and has been a pretty consistent schedule for them since right after Christmas. To make the transition easier on them, I mean me, Casey and I are sleeping in the guest room which is right across the hall from them instead of our room which is across the house. Who knows how long I will want to stay there? We also have a video monitor so I can peek at them without leaving my warm bed!!
Busy mommy! January 26, 2010
Sorry, I have been unable to get time to get a post on here. Luke and Stella Grace are getting more and more active during the day with less naps at the same time so I just do not have a lot of down time. Casey was actually off the last four days but it seemed like I still was busy even with the extra help with the twins. Friday night Casey and I actually got to go out on a date. My parents came over that day and I treated myself to a manicure and pedicure. Then they stayed that evening and Casey and I went to a new restaurant in town and had sushi. It was so nice to get out. It is funny how you really appreciate just a couple hour break away together when you have 2 three month olds in the house. (Thanks mom and dad!!)
Love this picture!! Luke and Stella Grace found each other’s hands the other day when I had them laying down on the floor in the nursery with some of their toys. I thought there is no way they would keep holding hands in time for me to get a picture, but they did. So sweet!!
Casey really enjoyed getting to spend four days in a row with Luke and Stella Grace. I kept finding him nodding off with his babies. Pure sweetness!!

Riding with daddy January 10, 2010
I told y’all I would let you know this week what Luke’s new thing is that he loves to do. I was alone this week for the first time with the twins for 5 days straight while Casey worked so I was a busy mommy. I just never made it to post any new pictures before now. Anyways, sweet baby Luke loves to hang out in his Baby Bjorn with his daddy. Every night when Casey gets home from work, Luke goes into his carrier and rides around with him for a while. Luke loves to be held and on someone at all times so this is a great way for him to feel close to his daddy but Casey still has his hands free to do some other things. Luke is getting to be such a big boy. His thighs are getting fat and chubby. One would never think he was a preemie!!
My little princess January 4, 2010
Stella Grace loves the mobile on her crib. Her Meme discovered this when she was visiting from Arkansas over Christmas.
She will just lay there and smile and kick her feet in delight as her mobile turns and plays music.
Her mobile is a princess mobile and she is my little PRINCESS!!
Later this week I will show you what baby Luke loves to do!
